每個人心中都有歌,
有悲之歌, 有喜之歌, 有歡樂之歌, 有療傷之歌!
當我歡呼之時, 我會高唱我的感覺, “I’m on the top of
the world, Looking down on creation and the only explanation I can find”, 當我傷感之時, 我會低鳴我的失落, “莫再悲, 莫再傷, 遇到悲哀休誇張, 誰亦要經風與浪, 誰遇挫敗不受傷”, 當緬懷過去景況時, 我心中不暗哼著, “Those were such happy times and not so long ago, How
I wondered where they’d gone”, 又或當旁觀你我人生時, 耳畔不期然會響起, “People talking without speaking, People hearing without listening, People
writing songs that voices never share”!
就這樣子, 一個個的音符, 片段段的樂章, 跟生命伴同流水, 在空氣間飄浮, 然後消失! 而我的青蔥歲月, 亦一天一天的溜走, 永遠忘掉!
這夜, 一首老歌再次跑進夢鄉, 澎湃的濃情讓我醉倒, 身心彷彿一下子回到好久之前, 那時還是年輕小伙子的狀況, 聽到歌聲, 心馬上熱烈起來, 腦海一閃到了遙遠的國度, 一起發同一個夢: “California Dreaming”!
可以說, California Dreaming 是美國 60 ~ 70年代的旗幟, 是嬉皮士的時代, 是充滿激情的年代!
雖然 The Mamas & the Papas 只有短短三年的光景, 但留下了的 California Dreaming, 卻被譽為 “感動世界 50 首歌”其中之一!
1965年秋, 當時美國音樂工業重心正往西遷移, The Mamas & the Papas 仍只是幾個窮小子, 亦從東岸跑去 California 碰運氣, John Phillips 的妻子 Michelle本來就是California 的小姑娘, 當然更嚷著回去! 在一個深秋的夜晚, John Phillips靈感突發, 把妻子的夢想寫成了一首歌, 歌名就是 California Dreaming!
儘管 The Mamas & the Papas 四人的感情關係錯綜複雜, John Phillips 跟 Michelle 最後亦離婚收場及反目成仇, 令到樂隊只有僅僅三年壽命便烟燒雲散!
然而, 音樂跟愛一樣, 卻是永恆!
今天, 我們仍舊可以抱著 “驚艷” 的心情, 重回 California Dreaming 的意境, 同尋一個 California 的夢!
如果你年輕時曾經飛度關山, 為追尋一個夢而跑到 California 的話, 這首就是你的 “生命之歌”了!
我願意在歌聲中跟你穿越時空, 與像來自星星的你, 一同回到四百年前, 共同尋那 California 之夢!
